MY YOUTUBE IS CAPTURING IT ALL (it seems)
Many of you know me through my livestream YouTube sprints that I host as part of giving back to the HeartBreathings Writing Community. Part of being in this community includes participating in Sarra Cannon’s HB90 Bootcamp every quarter to plan my small business goals—and even life goals. I recently released part one of a two part review to participating in this method, and it is worth every penny.
At the same time, there’s a lot going on over at said YouTube channel as of late. What exactly? Well… tomorrow, there’s a video coming out that’s long overdue: the Kickstarter packing and giveaway thank you video!

Camp NaNoWriMo July 2023 is literally right around the corner—and I am woefully not prepped for it. I originally was going to spend it working on my teaching memoir. Something more important needs to come first. I’ll be doing all the planning, videoing, workbook-making, and editing related to releasing something that’s been on my mind for over a year… SOUL BARD ACADEMY’S FIRST COURSE!
What is SOUL BARD ACADEMY?
As a K12 public school teacher in the United States, I’ve worked in some of the most poverty-stricken sectors of education physically and virtually. I know what this means for many adults: “I want to write articles, vlogs, blogs, books, and more, but I am not prepared to do this thing—and I was told forever I can’t do it, but I want to get better at it—how do I get better at it?”
That’s where SOUL BARD ACADEMY comes in. Based on my years of working with writing students of various ages, from 10 to 88, I see where the most common gaps in knowledge exist. I’d like to share all the ways I taught struggling readers and writers to become masters of telling their own stories by their own hands and thoughts with my author and writer communities at long last.
Many of my techniques are steeped in pedogeological methods that can easily be adapted to any project. I think tis time to share that part of my life, too… want to see how it goes? Keep a close eye on my social media, YouTube included!
Some readers might be going, “Hey, wait, what about the writing workshops you started on your YouTube channel?”
