Though Super Fan of The Golden Girls I may be, I do believe that February flew by rather fast. A theme I noticed throughout the last week while teaching my middle and high school students keeps resonating with me into the weekend: there’s a lot of introspection going on, and it’s weighing the mood down for some people. If this is part of season affective disorder for those of us who have those symptoms, or if this is some sort of astrological energy shift… I am not certain.
I do know that it is draining an already short month for many people, so I want to start off by saying how I normally end this post:
please, take care of yourself.
So often, we become wrapped up in the mojo of the holidays rolling into the New Year that we don’t always let the energy of that roller coaster process the way we should. Many of us are also taking the time to heal in the previous and coming years ahead. With the whirlwind move to our new home that Cody and I experienced at the end of 2022, I am not surprised I’ve been feeling that post-holiday ick more than I like.
With the arrival of March next week, I hope all of us feel the welcome of spring, and not in those lion ways the month can sometimes show off.
In the meantime, what else is going on? Thanks to the support of lovely people such as yourself, I’m going onward with the Kickstarter and more. Want to check out an update on those things? Find the video over on my YouTube channel this afternoon. I’m also offering writing workshops between now and the end of this quarter, for those who would like to attend.
Oh… by the way… what are some of the fun things I’m working on for the Kickstarter that I might not have mentioned elsewhere? Have a sneak peek!
I am very grateful to Jeremy of SonTrowa Arts for continuing to complete the character sketches he started nearly two years ago. Finally, we’re working on completing all of the couples! Last year, he finished Frey to join Lee. Now, our beloved leading couple for the pentalogy is together in all of their flaming-hurricane glory. I am looking at including this picture as digital and physical swag… would you be interested in more in the future? Let both of us know!
(I’d love to be able to ask him to make a manga or comic strip style item or two to share on occasion!)
As Mother Nature sheds her wintery gown to prepare for spring showers, beautiful flowers, and sunshine for wedding season… please take care of yourselves.
I know you are worth it.
Blessings be,
