I almost gave up...

And then I accepted my magic to restart...

Heyya, lovelies.

One of life’s current synchronicities bop-it-ing my days is the theme of resetting, restarting, renewing, redoing, and just the general reawakening of many things. The arrival of summer (Happy Solstice, blessings be!) has this, “I fits, I sits, dang it,” notion behind it, too. So, I started reviewing the last year—and that was when I realized I had done more than I gave myself credit. I think that’s part of the process.

However, what I realized the weighty truths behind the words a friend shared recently. This soul sister was wise to note how miserable life would be if I left it all behind. Backing out and shrinking back into being the never-ending wallflower became something I was comfortable with as an adult for too long.

Reconnecting that lead to the biggest, “geez, Rafiki, what did you bonk me so hard for, and when can the stick stop beating me” moments ever: I’m so grumpy lately not because I’ve been comfortable. A lot of the changes going on right now—we’re six months into a new home, Kickstarter, relaunch, HB90 turning into quarter 3, losing my teaching position, gaining some epic clients, fighting of tech issues in high end numbers, preparing my own books to launch, doing all the marketing from a new perspective, designing a new website FREY WON’T LET ME TALK about (Frey: SOUL WRITER, STOP IT! SPOILERS!)—its fun and adventurous.

It’s also bringing in a lot of shifts and changes.

I have a feeling some of you might be going through similar realignment right now. If that’s the case, please take five minutes of your day to focus on you. Whatever makes you feel zen and well-mediated and soul-cared-for by your own hand. Take the time to sit down and look at all the good you do.

There’s a million voices swarming out there, looking to lock onto you like a target and blow your day apart. Don’t let one of those voices be your own.
