Welcome back, lovelies and soul bards.
As some of you know, we were given another non-renewal for the second year in a row. Same reason as before: rent increases in the area. The apartment we loved so much where we lived this time last year? It’s now over $300 more a month than what we paid in 2022-2023! Our neighboring houses in this cul-de-sac are showing a similar increase, too. Yup. Like last year, everyone in our area was given the boot, one lease renewal at a time after a full year of renovations were made to all of the properties. We know what’s going on. All of us are doing the rental lease shuffle right before the holidays. And it hit me like a ton of bricks this week that I have a matter of about a month left in my current office.
As I look around this glorious space, I feel the nasty sting of tears. I do not want to let this go so soon. There’s so much magic we’ve made here in the last year! I also have to accept the truth of the magic goes where we go. At least, this time, I will have enough time to properly decorate for Yule and Christmas? There’s a townhouse and an apartment option ahead for decisions to be made about this week. The packing has already started off camera (and not, for those of you over on YouTube following along). Through the beautiful double doors I can see so many beautiful leaves falling into our yard and onto the patio where I have spent so many moments meditating.
Yet again, I feel the same notions from the last move apply here. I’ve grown as a person. I had to pull back hard and heal a lot of things I can’t and won’t talk about to even people I consider some of my closest friends and allies. It was my job to heal and fix it. Link faced Shadow Link alone for a reason.
My business is doing remarkably and markedly better than I could have ever hoped. Considering a year ago I had less than a handful of clients, I feel blessed to be serving over thirty authors through my courses, one-on-one coaching, and editing services in what feels like a seamless rotation. Watching their businesses and book babies grow into their best forms? That, too, is a blessing. Watching them smile when they realize they can do this task or make this plot work? That is a blessing. I am surrounded by so many blessings and opportunities.
All because when the world locked down, a certain husband looked at me and picked Nephtyri as being the story that needed told. All because a teenager and young adult played too much TTRPG for her own good and watched anime even more so. All because words are the soul’s most powerful mode of expression.
This place feels magical. Welcoming. All because of them. All because of you. The journey has been a roller coaster for sure. I’ve learned more than ever this year about how to be an entrepreneur. Not just a businesswoman. I look forward to more roller-coaster rides ahead. Thank you for being here for it.
Schedule Changes Ahead!
I will be taking the last two weeks of November off in order to finish packing and moving into the new space. I will likely send one or two more newsletters from this desk before I give you all a tour of the new place. A lot of trusting the Divine is in play on my end right now. Thank you for your patience.
If you want to have frequent updates, Instagram or Facebook are ideal. Of course, YouTube, too!
What kind of moves are you making before December arrives? It is time to till the soil, start the seedlings in some cases. Bake the pie. Crack the eggs. Enjoy the mess before you clean it up. Like you did so, so long ago.
All my hugs,
Jenna OM

Sending all the positive vibes your way. We finally found a place and I'm no longer in the motel. It's amazing how little things, like a kitchen, mean so much when you haven't had one in almost a year. I hope you find what you want and love it!
Moving is such a pain. I am sorry they did this to you because $300 is not a justifiable % increase when nothing in the economy has changed. I hope you can find something quickly and with a nice view. Hugs.
