And Feeling the Focus Fox Mode
Let’s get down to clown. No, that is not a 90s Lady Nerd reference. That’s all the doing of Aaron Doughty, Victor Oddo, and Mat Shaffer. Some of you recognize these YouTubers and know the epic messages they share in the world. I am blessed to be taking a second class with them, the Conscious Business Accelerator. They are taking a review of everything we learned in September from the Conscious Coaching Accelerator and doubling down on it. As a host for HeartBreathings, you know I love doubling down on the routine.
One thing Mat says often in our classes is “Focus Fox” as a kind signal to realign conversations. As a teacher, I find it is super effective. Something else he says is “let’s ***k around and find out. Are you down to clown?” I started saying a mantra as of late because of this.
Other than influencing a shift in the content around my channel, this mantra hangs on the wall to remind me that anxiety is lying to me. That fear is lying to me. I’ve built one heck of a garden with this business, and it is about to blossom. So, let’s Focus Fox.
What is The Great Pause? I am talking more about this in my February Wrap-Up vlog that’s coming out next week, but a lot of us feel like we are spinning wheels. I mean now more than ever. We’re doing a ton of work and banking the hours, blood, sweat, tears, finances, and more into our gardens, whatever they may be. However, there is not yet any fruit. Like a garden, we are in a pause for spring. Waiting for the sun and rain and wind to do their magic.
Depending on how Groundhog Day went where you live, an whether or not Mother Nature deigned to agree, spring is almost here in a physical sense. Why can’t that become an inspiration for metaphorical? The Great Pause is that lull between your winter and your spring. Everything in life is a season for logical reasons. Rhymes and puns not intended and yet intended at the same time. As someone recently observed on the personal level, it’s like the world is making us rest and prepare and germinate. What feels like a delay will end up becoming the right place, the right time, in your wizard mode.
What other things are going on around the YouTube channel this week? We’ve wrapped a month of switching around sprint livestream schedules and four weeks of workshops on Thursdays. With more episodes of my podcast, Listening to the Voices in Our Heads, ramping up to have one guest per month on Sundays or Thursdays, alongside the monthly start of Soul Care Sundays in April, we might see more shifts in content. Also, I’ll be filming another free workshop for So You Want to be An Authortuber in connection to building Camp Soul Bard and Writer’s Soul Reset as other offshoots of Soul Bard Academy. Oh, yeah. That’s getting another course by the end of the year, too.
Additionally, we have character videos and marketing videos in preparation for a Kickstarter! Circa July 2024, I will be launching five to seven books of The Merna Annals as they move from Ream Stories, to Kickstarter, to Amazon, and then to Wide. This will mean all five books to Season 1 will be available in eBook and paperback by Summer 2025. I’ll then finish VITAELANGICA, my spin off story to Season 2, before writing Books 6-10 of said season. For the moment, Regolith’s Relics (what happens centuries after Season 2) and the unnamed prequel trilogy about Cleopatra and Arsinoë are on hold until we finish up the main questline’s plot.
