What is Wanted? What is Needed?
Doing for the self becomes what we do for others... (and two giveaways!)

As a 90s kid, I didn’t go a day without hearing Christina Aguilera sing about what girls want, need, and more to be happy on the radio. My inner Batty Koda is going, “WRONG CHANNEL, where is the metal,” lately because wants and needs have been all over what I have been focusing on the last few weeks.
As I wrap up The Merna Annals, Book 3: Bound by Vengeance and Mind (Frey x Lee, Ian x Nephtyri) and prepare it to go through the re-release process on eBook asap and move into The Merna Annals, Book 4: Bound by Hope and Spirit (Vouvry x Maria, Ian x Nephtyri), I’ve been questioning what my characters want versus need throughout the reset of the series. All of those dripped into this video, and we teased the be-jezuz out of Vouvry about a lot of things.
I’ve also contracted a fellow author to redo the blurbs for Book 4 and The Merna Annals, Book 5: Bound by Lyric and Time (GorGor x Harumi, Ian x Nephtyri), since I am not a fan of where my previous editor left them upon us departing from our professional connection. I cannot wait to share those blurbs with you in the coming weeks, as they are ironed out and finished.
There are several wants and needs for the business that are going great, while others are going slower. I have been doing some amazing things with clients—editing, one-on-one coaching, and group coaching—and I am so inspired by them daily. I love being able to take what I used to do in the classroom and transform it into working with professionals. However, readers have noticed that quarter three was largely a break from my writing.
New eBooks of Books 1 and 2 for The Merna Annals are circulating out there, and Book 3 is joining any day now. On the other hand, I drafted SO MUCH content earlier this year, and not just for finishing what I am now actively editing. There’s three or four Side Quest books to go out early next year, and VITAELANGICA. I kid you not. I will likely spend the next 12 months editing and publishing.
The irony in all of this? I have Regolith’s Relics, Season 2 of The Merna Annals, and ENTIRELY NEW PEN NAME sitting there, itching at me in outline format, demanding to be drafted. I’m trying to be a good little author and rotate between making them and getting them out to you. However, what does this also mean?
In the coming months, not only is Jeremy of SonTrowaArts going to be doing MORE art for The Merna Annals, but I am also looking for a new cover artist to handle all of these books I want to publish next year. And I want to do the new website remodel. And I want. I want. I want.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH. Halt.
We have a move to do first. I can’t do any of the above, if we do not find a place to live. The end of November is ticking closer, and faster than I like. There’s a potential house available for us that might be an option, but it is much smaller than where we are. We shall see what happens. I sadly have nothing to update on this front. I am looking forward to not having to move for several years, living in a home that has all the space we need, that we can afford with steady growth and abundance, and also that allows me to do what I’ve been striving towards the last few years. Three words. Books. House. Baby.
That’s been my mantra. I’m making it clearer. Published books. Homeownership. A child I’ll raise from my heart and soul. Does that mean I have to just write? No, it means doing all parts of publishing. Does that mean settling for a house when what I desire is a home? No, it means paying off these bills and getting stable at long last, after years of not. Does it mean I let PCOS and missing a tube from miscarriage win? No. It means that even if my body does not let me be a mother, then I know that I can be a mom to an amazing kiddo in need of a parent to love on them in a world that has not done that for them. It means finishing the healing journey I started all those years ago, at the beginning of this journey.
